BAM JAM OPEN MIC NIGHT

Bathurst Academy run an Open Mic night once a month at Bathurst Panthers (132 Piper St Bathurst) on the last Tuesday of the month from 6pm-10am.

Open Mic night provides a fantastic opportunity for students to work towards a goal each month, where tutors and students prepare songs to perform either solo, with their peers, with their teacher or as a band.

Open Mic Night is open to the public, is free of charge event and is a fantastic way for students to build their experience performing live in a safe and supportive environment.

PRESENTATION SHOWCASE

Showcase is the Academy’s annual awards show featuring a selection of highlight performances and presentation of the Academy awards.

Showcase has been running for over a decade with a wonderful history of award recipients and memorable performances. The event is the Academy’s end of year celebration and invites all students staff, families and the members of the general public.

BAND NIGHT

BAM Band Night is an annual ticketed show featuring Academy bands and ensembles. The event showcases the Bathurst Academy of Music Stage Band, the Bathurst Academy Clarinet Choir, as well as the many student bands, staff bands and school bands.

The evening celebrates the hard work of Academy ensembles by showcasing performances and providing a ticketed show for bands to work towards throughout the year.The BAM Band Night is one of the highlights of the Academy calendar year and an audience favorite.

SOCIAL LINE DANCE

Social Line Dance is the Academy’s most popular dance class, held Tuesday evenings at Panthers Panthers from 6pm-7pm during the school term.
Social Line Dance is a social class inviting students of all ages and all abilities to participate. The class is a great way to make fitness fun by learning a range of contemporary lines dances with friends.
Full of laughter and fun, BAM social line dance is one of the most popular dance classes in Bathurst and continues to grow each term.

Classes are $5 per student with first class free. No experience is necessary and registration is at the door.

SOCIALS

What sets apart Bathurst Academy from other creative arts Academies are the social platforms for students to meet like-minded people, find and connect with other musicians and form lifelong friendships.

BAM arrange many social gatherings during the year, inviting students, families and friends to meet in a social setting and enjoy being part of a Academy community. Social gatherings such as bbqs, sporting matches, bowling, lazer tag, karaoke socials and games in the park are all popular social outings for students and their families.

BAM are well known for the development of social skills and confidence in young people, and connecting students and families from across all schools within the community and beyond.

SPRING BREAK BAND CAMP

Spring Break Band Camp is a two-day workshop inviting students across NSW with an interest in music to join together in a fun-filled holiday program which runs annually in October.

The workshop welcomes primary school and secondary school students who play an instrument or who have an interest in audio engineering and production.


All instruments, genres and abilities are welcomed and no prior audio engineering experience is necessary.

The workshop includes two jam-packed days of fun, music and education, lead by industry professionals with a focus on self improvement, confidence, collaboration and social connection.

ROYAL BATHURST SHOW

Bathurst Academy of Music are proud supporters of the Royal Bathurst Show, facilitating the Bathurst Show Community Stage annually.

Academy students and staff work to deliver production, entertainment, stage management, sound and lighting, for the Royal Bathurst Show.
Focusing on showcasing local music in a music festival-style showcase, the BAM production and events team work annually to deliver a professional and entertaining Bathurst Show Entertainment Schedule for the Bathurst community.

BAMFEST

BAMFEST is an annual music festival held annually March. Held at the picturesque ‘Wooly Bull’ property in Perthville, it is a full day of live entertainment on the Academy’s outdoor festival stage.

Entertainment runs all day on both the main stage and the acoustic stage, it is a family friendly day out with jumping castles, games, food vans and a bar.

BAMFEST is fast becoming one of the most popular music festivals on the Bathurst festival calendar.
